PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — It's officially move-in day for the Philadelphia Auto Show, as cars, trucks and SUVs find their parking places on the floor of the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
A worker slowly pulled a shiny red Lexus into the just the right spot at the Convention Center, where it will attract "oohs" and "ahhs" during the nine-day run of the show.

January 31, 2019 To publicize the event, Mayor Jim Kenney was taken on a ceremonial spin down the hallway of the Convention Center in a 2019 Volvo S60.
Although he described his ride as "short," he thanked the man behind the wheel, show Chairman Ian Jeffery.
"I haven't driven a car in over three years, which is a strange thing," said Kenney, "but the police won't let me drive anymore."

January 31, 2019 Kevin Mazzucola, executive director of the Automobile Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia, said 700 cars, trucks, exotics and classics will be on display, as well as some cars you can't buy yet.
"We have 12 pre-production vehicles that are East Coast debuts, straight from Detroit," he said, "and that is a special treat. So you'll see vehicles on the floor that aren't even for sale yet, but will be in the next three to 12 months."
The show starts Saturday.
