PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The city is now using a Center City hotel as a quarantine site in response to the coronavirus outbreak.
Police blocked off Walnut Street between 13th and Juniper streets in front of the Holiday Inn Express.
Dark green tarps now cover the hotel signs above the entrance while the city is renting the place.
As with so many aspects of the coronavirus response, there's no timeline for returning the hotel to normal. It will be used by the city for as long as necessary.
Officials have said they are looking at other potential sites as well.
