Many believe Kaepernick is too talented to have been out of professional football the past three seasons.
Monday night, on ESPN’s “The Return of Sports” special, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell was asked what role he envisions Kaepernick might have with the league going forward.
Goodell said recent events have shown what players have been trying to say over the past four years.
“Our country was going through something where we were seeing these things that our players had highlighted, including Colin and so many others,” Goodell explained. “What they were talking about and what they were protesting and what they were trying to bring attention to was playing out right in front of us, and tragically.”
“Somebody’s interested, so we’ll see what happens with that,” Carroll said.
