Could return to schools include COVID-19 testing?

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Could a return to in-person classes at schools involve testing students and staff for the coronavirus?

School District of Philadelphia Superintendent William Hite said while he'll never say never, it's unlikely that students and staff will undergo school-based COVID-19 testing, should there be an in-person return to classes.

He said in consultation with the city and state health departments, the district aims to plan for one of those options by the middle of July.
