Date set for special election to fill Vanessa Lowery Brown's seat

HARRISBURG, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — The speaker of the state House has set Tuesday, March 12 as the date for a special election to fill the seat vacated by Democrat Vanessa Lowery Brown, who represented Philadelphia’s State House District 190. Brown resigned her seat after being convicted in a bribery case last year. 

Candidates for the seat will be chosen by a process determined by the political parties.
