MEDIA, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — A Delaware County man has been sentenced to decades in prison for shooting at a police officer nearly two years ago.
Eric Jackson will serve 40 to 80 years in prison after being convicted by a jury attempting to shoot a Trainer Borough police officer.
The incident happened in August 2017.
Prosecutors say two cops stopped Jackson and another man. The pair eventually ran away from police.
Jackson, they say, pulled a gun from his waist band and began shooting at one of the officers several times, striking a car the cop went to hide behind.
A jury found 28-year-old Jackson guilty in November of attempted homicide, assault of a law enforcement officer and related charges.
