Because team facilities are closed, Eagles off-season activities, expected to last nine weeks, will happen outside the Novacare Complex until further notice.
The first three weeks will be a “virtual period.” Classroom learning will occur online.
Pro Football Talk reported the Eagles are one of the teams holding virtual workouts. Squads are allowed to send workout equipment to players, up to $1,500 total. As in past years, participation is voluntary.
It’s unknown if there will be any mandatory portion as there has been in past off-seasons.
The draft, which appeared to be technologically flawless despite some early misgivings, took us into the homes of prospective players as they were selected — and general managers, coaches and owners as they were making decisions.
Eagles Head Coach Doug Pederson said he found it to be a “relaxing moment.”
“It makes it a family environment and, for me, that was probably the most enjoyable thing coming out of this draft,” Pederson said. “And you saw it actually on TV with the draft picks and their families. And so, it’s kinda reminiscent of the Philadelphia Eagles and how we ... approached this draft.”
According to the NFL, the draft reached a record 55 million-plus viewers over the three-day telecast.
