
“By our coming together as a society, we can help shorten the duration for when we’re going to be away from baseball,” he said.
While Baker emphasized the importance of everyone staying safe and following the guidelines put in place, he knows baseball will once again serve as a healing process when it returns.
“It’ll be great to get back. Who knows when that will be at this point, but it will be and it will come, and it’s just a matter of time,” he added.
When baseball does return to South Philadelphia, Baker will begin his 49th season with the Phillies.
