"These events really highlight that," said Larry Dubinski, president and CEO of The Franklin Institute. "Whether it be a scientist, whether you're in a hospital, you'll be able to go the Rail Park this weekend and there will be a bubble mania there as well as learning, other science, again for all different ages. Then on Sunday, you can be in Fishtown and go do a bar crawl. You'll be able to learn about science at each of these."
At the bar crawl, you'll see the return of the Atom Blonde beer, crafted specifically for the festival by Yards Brewing Company.
The Festival culminates on May 4 with a free science carnival on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
"This festival really is an extension of what we do at the institute every day," added Dubinski. "Educate young and old alike about science in their daily lives so they can make informed decisions."
