The Broad Street Run has been postponed until Oct. 4, ut that doesn’t mean you cannot still compete in some of these races.
“Now, since the crisis, physical events have pretty much disappeared,” said Race Directors HQ’s Panos Gonos.
Gonos said these virtual races are seeing a huge influx of novice runners, as it's the perfect time for them to give it a try.
“There has been a great revival in amateur running across the world because gyms are closed, and pretty much the only outlet people have, and in some cases the only activity allowed outside the home, is to go running,” Gonos said.
Gonos said the races track people by GPS and other measures can still give runners their fulfillment.
