The Eagles rested Carson Wentz only to lose his backup, when Nate Sudfeld broke his left wrist on a late hit in the second quarter. Philly lost 27-10 to the Tennessee Titans. Sudfeld is scheduled for surgery Friday morning, and Eagles coach Doug Pederson said the injury is not the end of his season.
It was a preseason home game, but it was football nonetheless. And fans were hyped.
"It's the most wonderful time of the year," said fan Luke Tyrell. "It's football season, this is the best time of the year."
Luke's prediction for this season: 11-5 and a deep playoff run for the Eagles. Other tailgaters shared their predictions:
"Super Bowl champs this year baby, lock it in! Put your money on it."
"16-0 in the regular season, all the way to the Super Bowl, we're not losing."
"This is the beginning of the Super Bowl run, two in three years. It's going to be magical."

But the Super Bowl isn't until February. For now, fans are just happy to see the Eagles play.
"Oh yeah, it's like riding a bike," the 31-year Eagles season ticket holder said of tailgating.
That includes the van they bring with them to the games.
"It's filled with fathheads, a lot of tributes to the Super Bowl, tributes to the Philly Special, tributes to Carson (Wentz), tributes to all the legends over the years," said Gearhart.
Asked if he's excited for the season, Gearhart said, "I'm always excited, but now I'm really excited, because the Eagles are going to be really, really good this year."
Next up for the Eagles in the preseason is a Thursday-night match up in Jacksonville against Nick Foles and the Jaguars.
