PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — As schools open for the school year, many families are asking serious questions about health and COVID-19.
While it is obviously far safer to avoid contact with others, the need for socialization is also an important part of education.
Each family should think about its family vulnerabilities.
The biggest risk is to someone with advanced age or an underlying health condition. A major concern is that it's also hard for young children to keep social distance at home.
If you have a child going to school, there is one key message for all: make certain children coming home from school wash their hands, and if there is a baby at home, they should not not get too close to the newborn.
