Rachel Riley, of the Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board, said the #MontcoStrong T-shirt campaign was launched in April and expected to run through the end of June.
“We already sold more than 500 shirts and raised more than $10,000 for the Montco PA COVID-19 Response Fund,” Riley said. “And, unfortunately, the situation remains ongoing and there are people and organizations that are still in need. So, we wanted to keep that going with a new goal of selling more than a thousand shirts and raising more than $20,000 for that fund.”
Riley said the proceeds go to community safety net organizations.
"The funds actually go into the Montco PA COVID-19 Response Fund which funnels through some non-profit organizations that normally help folks who are food insecure, who may be homeless, they help veterans.”
The shirts are available only online at the convention board’s website.
“Once you get your shirt, please wear it with pride,” Riley said. “Take a picture and share it with us on social media at Valley Forge #MontcoStrong so that we can share it and show all of the great people who are supporting this wonderful cause.”
