PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) -- The 7th annual South Street Spring Festival took place Saturday in Philadelphia.
Spring sprung on South Street, and Mark Beyerle, production manager of the South Street Spring Festival, said thousands of people were expected to walk the blocks that have been closed off to traffic.
"You know they block off the streets and there's a lot of traffic that comes through," Stein said, "but I appreciate all the kid-oriented things."
She says it's a great event for the neighborhood.
"Well, it brings a lot of people out to South Street and South Street businesses," she said.
It's was also a great festival for food lovers.
"Every piece of food on the block, we'll have," said Justin from Northeast Philadelphia. "Pierogis and French toast bites, there's good beef jerky and we've seen some corn."
