The Senate passed the bill early Thursday afternoon by a 31 to six vote that included seven Republicans. A few hours later, it cleared the Assembly 53 to 24.
The spending plan does not include Murphy's proposed change to the millionaire's tax, which would've hiked the rate on earnings over $1 million. Also failing to make the cut was a tax hike on gun sales.
What's not known is whether Murphy will sign it, use his line item veto, or veto the bill outright, which would set up a possible government shutdown at a minute after midnight on July 1.
