The agency said, based on video evidence, there was clearly a funnel with some small debris being swooped up off the ground. Now, they say, they have to determine how strong this tornado was and the path it took.
There was also some damage left in other parts of South Jersey. In nearby Glassboro, Tareq Elayoub and his wife, who lives close to Rowan University, came home to a bit of a mess. He thinks straight-line winds caused the damage.
"Top of the roof, the bottom deck and fence, they’re all in the same straight line," he said.
"It could be worse. Damage can be fixed. As long as human life is okay, everything can be fixed," he said.
In Blackwood, some trees and power lines went down, leading to road closures and Blackwood Elementary canceling classes because of a power outage.
Fortunately no widespread power problems in South Jersey or any injuries reported.
