The woman was trapped inside a ritzy townhouse on East 65th Street on the Upper East Side, just a block away from Central Park, according to the FDNY.
Firefighters rescued the woman at around 10 a.m. Monday morning. She then told them she had been stuck in the building since Friday evening.
The woman was taken to a local hospital and is reportedly in good condition.
It was not clear if she lived in the building or was an employee of a tenant. The FDNY did not say if she had a phone or other technology with her at the time.
