It’s been weeks of waiting for some, but now, Pennsylvanians who work for themselves or own a small business or practice can file for unemployment online and get benefits for up to 39 weeks.
The program, known as Pandemic Unemployment Assistance, is run by the state but funded by the federal government, and allows small business owners, contractor workers and even some clergy to file a claim.
Other people who may have special circumstances may also be able to apply.
And, for those deemed eligible, you will also get the extra $600 a week.
You need tax returns, paystubs, contracts and banking papers or anything relative to your business to file.
