"One of the things that I've required my staff to do is at the end of every week, email me or text me a one-liner on how the players are doing,” he said.
While players are doing virtual workouts, Pederson wants his players to have the same mentality that they would have working out in person.
“Some guys have a home gym, some guys don’t, but whatever they have available, they need to do and get themselves in the best shape possible,” he said.
There are a lot of unknowns as to when and if the NFL season will start on time, but Pederson is confident the medical experts will keep everybody safe if a player tests positive for COVID-19.
"With all the medical data that we have now in front of us, I think from a medical standpoint, we would be able to handle someone if they were to come down ill,” Pederson said.
Despite the uncertainty, he is preparing as if training camp will start on time in late July.
