“So as a result, the convention was only a five-hour event today instead of four days,” he said.

But he said other events, including primetime speeches, will continue through Thursday.

After the nominating process, Vice President Mike Pence and President doand Trump made a surprise appearance.

Tabas expects the RNC to be more positive than the Democrats’ version last week.

“They’re voting out of anger and voting against President Trump. We’re voting for something. We have a positive force which is far more enthusiastic,” he said.

Joan Cullen, a delegate from Bucks County, said it’s disappointing they can’t be there in person, but she understands. They’re planning watch parties and other events.

“The enthusiasm is just off the charts,” Cullen said.
