Pink to get star on Hollywood Boulevard's Walk of Fame

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Bucks County native Pink will be honored on Tuesday with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Presented by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, the recognition will be the 2,656th star on Hollywood Boulevard.

Other artists being recognized in 2019 in the recording category include: Michael Bublé; Cypress Hill; The Lettermen; Faith Hill; Tommy Mottola; Teddy Riley; the trio of Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris; and Jackie Wilson.

After her debut in the '90s R&B group Choice, Pink signed with LaFace Records and went solo. Her first album, "Can’t Take Me Home" (2000) went double-platinum in the U.S. Since that time, she has won three Grammys, three Billboard Music Awards, seven MTV Video Music Awards, two People’s Choice Awards, two MTV Europe Video Music Awards, a Brit Award, and one Daytime Emmy, and she was named Billboard’s Woman of the Year in 2013. 

Pink's 2017 studio album, "Beautiful Trauma," was the third best-selling album of the year. 

According to Variety, Pink has sold more than 50 million album equivalents, 75 million singles, and more than 2.4 million DVDs worldwide.
