PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police are asking whether two shootings blocks away from each other over the weekend are connected.
Around 11 p.m. Friday on the 5800 block of Angora Terrace, police say they found a 17-year-old boy with several gunshot wounds throughout his body. Police rushed him to the hospital where he died.

Then on Sunday, just a couple of blocks away, police say an 18-year-old man was shot in the head and neck around 7:30 p.m. The victim also died at the hospital.
At this point, police say they have not arrested anyone for either of these shootings. With both deadly shootings happening so near each other, and the victims being similar in age, police are looking into the possibility that the two occurrences are connected.
