Philadelphia Police say the 4-year-old boy was playing on the second floor of a home on North Reese Street when he fell and was impaled by a piece of glass around 3:45 p.m. The glass came from a picture frame.
The child was rushed to St. Christopher's Hospital, but doctors there were not able to save him. He was pronounced dead a little before 5 p.m.
The family is cooperating with police in their investigation into the death, which appears to be accidental.
