COLLINGSWOOD, N.J. (KYW Newsradio) — Police in South Jersey say they're trying to identify and find the man who broke into a house, attacked the people inside and set a fire Sunday afternoon.

Neighbor Colin Woolley told NBC 10 he never would have guessed such a strange case would happen in his quiet neighborhood.

Police say he demanded money from the two people inside the home, he attacked one person and tied up the other one. Then, police say, he started a fire in the house and ran off.

Chris Miller told NBC 10, that's when people noticed something was up.

"I noticed, like, five fire trucks come soaring down the street," he said.

Another neighbor, Michael Daly, said it looked like more than a typical house fire.

Authorities have not made public the condition of either victim, only saying one of them suffered injuries that were not from the fire.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office or the Collingswood Police Department.
