PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — It's a Philadelphia tradition. The 120th Mummers Parade takes place on New Year's Day, and the city along with the feathered ones themselves are putting some pep in their steps to get things done.
As the Christmas village comes down at Love Park, the bleachers along the parade route are going up around City Hall and along Broad Street.
The club has planned a Polynesian-themed performance. "We're all elements, so my element is wind," said Bielec. "I'll be one of these guys with capes."
