PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — If you're looking to buy a local gift this holiday season that makes an impact on the community, DiBruno Bros. has teamed up with Project HOME to come up with just the thing.
The partnership is a collaboration on Project HOME gift boxes, containing a mug, cranberry sauce, a candle and cashews. Samantha Kapenstein, senior associate with Project HOME, explains Di Bruno Brothers is helping to promote, sell and market the boxes.
"They helped us redesign our HOME Warming Gift Boxes," Kapenstein said, "so we have these beautifully branded boxes that have a detailed timeline of all of our history and information from Project HOME."
Watson also spoke of the incentive Project HOME has to sell more of the boxes, directly benefiting their almost 1,000 permanent residents.
"We think about half of them need this kind of supportive employment opportunity so there's no real upward limit on how much we're looking to sell or do," he said. "The more boxes that we sell, the more people that can gain employment through our program; and our goal is not to make money but just to cover the cost of that."
Gift boxes can be bought at DiBruno Bros. or at Project HOME's online store.
