PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) -- Billions of dollars will be wagered on the Super Bowl. Some of it will be legal. Gamblers at SugarHouse Casino have placed their bets in the new sportsbook.
Most of the cash is on the Patriots.
"About 90-percent of the money that was wagered on the point spread has been on New England," said SugarHouse Vice President Evan Davis.
Davis says there has also been a lot of interest in prop bets.
"We've got a sheet of prop bets printed out that's just pages and pages long," he explained. "Everything ranging from who's going to win the MVP to who's going to score the first touchdown."
Jeff and Cameron were thinking about which play might pay.
"You could bet on pretty much anything you wanted to," Jeff said.
"I always like the coin flip. I'm going heads," Cameron said. "Let's see, a few others. I like the last team to score. I think it's going to be the Rams on a garbage time touchdown."
"I'm sort of intrigued by this, about going into overtime," Jeff said, "because normally New England does play close Super Bowls."
The most Philly prop bet of all is the "Philly Special" -- 20 to 1 odds on if a quarterback will catch a touchdown like Nick Foles did in last year's Super Bowl. People are also putting money on a Boyertown native to score.
"James Devlin to score a touchdown," Cameron said. "He's +750 to score a touchdown."
