
In the primary, the Quinnipiac University poll shows Biden is favored by 39 percent of Democrats. His closest competitor is Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, with just 13 percent. In head-to-head match-ups, Biden leads Trump by 11 points, 53 percent to 42 percent.
Quinnipiac polling analyst Mary Snow says there is a gender gap.
“Sixty percent of women are backing Biden. Men are really divided," Snow said.
Forty-nine percent of men support Trump, while 45 percent back Biden. In another head-to-head match-up, Sanders has a seven point advantage over Trump.
This, despite the fact that more than half of Pennsylvania voters surveyed say they are better off financially than in 2016.
