PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Sixers managing partners Josh Harris and David Blitzer own a small stake in the Pittsburgh Steelers, as reported by Bloomberg.

A person familiar with the situation confirmed to KYW Newsradio that Harris and Blitzer recently purchased this minority stake in the team. It’s not related to HBSE, Harris Blitzer Sports and Entertainment, the parent company that owns the 76ers, the New Jersey Devils and the Premier League’s Crystal Palace FC.

The source said that, while Harris and Blitzer aren’t involved in the day-to-day operations, they are there to support the Rooney family as needed.

An HBSE spokesman declined comment on the Bloomberg report.

A recent Variety report said Harris and Blitzer are one of the suitors vying for the New York Mets.
