A flash flood watch for most of the Philadelphia area goes into effect from 2 p.m. Tuesday to midnight.
And if it seems like we've had a lot of storms lately, you're right. The National Weather Service in Mount Holly, N.J., says it has been a record-breaking season for rough weather.
"We've actually issued a record number of severe thunderstorm warnings for the state of New Jersey for any year," meteorologist Alex Staarmann said.
He says more than 200 warnings have been issued this year in the Garden State.
he says the latest, last Wednesday evening, was confirmed in Millville by weather service investigators.
"The tornado touched down in a field of solar panels adjacent to the Millville City Sewer Department facility. There were several rows of solar panels that sustained damage," he said. In Pennsylvania, 33 tornadoes have been confirmed so far this year, more than twice the average of 16 in a typical year.
