Philadelphia 76ers' Tobias Harris, Mike Scott, and James Ennis III are used to making big plays on the court, so they weren't too far out of their league Tuesday when they passed out more than 400 turkeys at the Ralph Brooks Basketball Courts in South Philadelphia alongside City Councilmember Kenyatta Johnson.
"I appreciate everything they give us. I ain't got to spend $400 at ShopRite to get a turkey. I'm getting one free," said Matte McQueen, one of the neighbors who came out to the giveaway.
She said it's going to help make her Thanksgiving spread perfect.
"Anytime I get to reach out to the people, vibe with the people, that's what I like to do. It doesn't feel like work for me, just giving back and enjoying the time," Scott said.
Many who came out say they don't know how else they would have put a turkey on the table for Thanksgiving if it wasn't for this giveaway.
