PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A group of high school students are raising awareness on the importance of social distancing among teenagers in an effort run by teens for teens which has many pledging support.
A lot of teenagers were initially under the impression that COVID-19 didn't strike most young people.
"So that means we are trying to reach them through Instagram, we are trying to reach them through Twitter, we even created a TikTok account to reach these kids," he added.
In addition to that, a website was created where teens can take the social distancing pledge, promising to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
You can see maps and stories of youth from around the world who are doing their part.
"We are just trying to rally the community and show that we are all in this together," Harycki added.
