“‘New Jersey in the House’ is kind of a play on the fact that you’re stuck in your house, you can’t get outside, so we will bring New Jersey to you,” said Jeff Vasser, the division’s executive director.
And, he said, they’re also offering visitors a chance to customize their online meet-ups with family and friends.
“Zoom has become a huge tool now, and we thought it would be a great idea to put some of the different tourism spots from around the state on a Zoom background,” Vasser said.
He said video features are being prepared that will show New Jersey chefs making their specialty dishes and New Jersey bartenders demonstrating how to mix their favorite creations.
Pennsylvania’s tourism bureau launched a similarly focused site last week.
