PECO: Power almost fully restored after Plymouth Township car accident

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — PECO crews have restored the power to all but 55 customers affected by an outage earlt Wednesday morning in Plymouth Township, Montgomery County.


Nearly 1,000 customers were left without electricity when two utility poles were knocked down in an accident about 5:30 a.m. on Ridge Pike near Chemical Road.

PECO initially estimated the power would be back on at 7:30 a.m., but they've revised that restoration estimate to 12:30 p.m.

Ridge Pike remains closed between Butler Pike and Chemical Road as repairs continue.
