PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A Villanova University graduate with cerebral palsy has written a movie and is now looking for funding to get it into production.

Frank Kineavy is a 2013 graduate of Villanova.

"I am the co-writer of this movie script currently entitled 'The Way We Roll,' " said film producer Steve McWilliams, who taught Kineavy.

"He can't speak without the aid of a communication device, and he can't walk and he can't talk, so right away when you see him, most people think, 'Aww, that's a shame.' "

But Kineavy has dreams and he is pursuing them.

"He had always wanted to write a screenplay, you know. I taught screen writing, so I said why don't you write a screen play and I'll come to your house, and so we started about five years ago," McWilliams said.

McWilliams describes the film as a cross between a comedy and a coming-of-age film for a disabled person. Now, they have a kickstarter to get $150,000 to make the movie, but it closes on May 4. Kineavy is featured in a short video on the kickstarter.
