Police say 27-year-old Jacqueline McBride bumped into another customer inside Di Bruno Bros. at 17th and Chestnut streets last Sunday, and the two shared words over social distancing — that’s when McBride pulled down her mask, cursed at the woman, said she didn’t have the virus, and then spat in her face, according to police.
An employee who witnessed the incident told police that McBride did the same thing to him, after they argued about how she was going to pay for items she was buying.
Both alleged victims were uninjured.
McBride has now been charged with simple assault, making terroristic threats and harassment.
