PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — We've all experienced that hysterical fear of leaving something behind in an Uber, whether it be essential items like your wallet, keys or phone.

But have you ever left your 8-week-old coffee-colored Chihuahua in the back seat?

Apparently someone has.

It may seem — and is — completely unbelievable that someone actually left their dog in an Uber, especially one with such a high-pitched yip.

But it topped the list of the strangest items forgotten in an Uber, among dozens of other items you'd never expect someone to let slip from their memory.

Uber's 2019 Lost & Found Index outlines some of the most commonly forgotten items and a few dozen unusual ones.

Of course, some items were more common and predictable to lose: phone, camera, wallet, keys, purse or backpack, clothing, glasses, headphones, vape or e-cigarette, or ID.

According to the index, people are more likely to lose something on a Saturday or Sunday between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. Fortunately for Pennsylvanians, the 10 most forgetful cities in the U.S. seem to cluster down south, more or less, leading in Alabama, New Mexico and Tennessee.

But that still doesn't explain how someone leaves a full set of 18-karat gold teeth in the back of a Prius.
