PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Ann Li is one of the rising stars in women's tennis. Last month, the 20-year old Devon, Pennsylvania native turned heads advancing into the round of 32 at the Australian Open.

Li started playing tennis when she was five years old, and talked about how she would describe her game.

"I would describe it as a really aggressive all-court player who has a lot of variety and loves to finish at the net," she said.

In 2017, Li put together an incredible run and advanced all the way to the Wimbledon junior singles final. She called it one of her coolest experiences in tennis.

"When you're a junior, you're like, 'Oh, nobody's really going to pay attention to me, right? All the pros are here, too.' But the stadium got packed and it was just crazy, the energy from the crowd," Li recalled.

"I remember I was down match points in the second set," she continued, "and then I came back and the crowd, I heard people screaming my name and the amount of adrenaline running through my body was insane. That was just amazing."
