Joel Embiid has a sprained lateral collateral ligament and may have to wear a knee brace when he returns, according to John Clark of NBC Sports Philadelphia.

Clark reports that "there is some hope that he can play towards the beginning of the Sixers' second round series, but he will be playing through a knee injury."

The Sixers' second-round series will begin on Saturday in Boston if the Celtics beat the Hawks in Game 5 of their first-round series tonight.

Obviously, this is not encouraging at all for Sixers fans.
