The regular season kicks off on Sunday, September 12th. The Eagles will play Matt Ryan and the Falcons in Atlanta. The following week will be the Eagles' home opener as they take on the San Francisco 49ers. Week 3 will sent the Eagles to Dallas for a Monday night matchup with the Cowboys.
The Eagles are back home six days later, and the time will be Andy Reid's as the Chiefs come to town. It will be the third time Reid will coach against his former team since he and the Eagles parted ways. Reid came out victorious in the two previous matchups.
The Phillies are home during Weeks 1 and 3, and the NFL will often accommodate the city by not having two events in the sports complex at the same time to avoid a traffic nightmare.
After taking on the Panthers in Carolina in Week 5, it's a short turnaround for a prime time matchup against the Super Bowl champion Buccaneers at the Linc on October 14th. It will be the second and last night game on the schedule, unless a surprise turnaround this season results in a flex later in the year.
Assuming fans will be allowed back at full capacity across the league, many in Eagles Nation will likely be looking into a road trip on October 24, when the Eagles travel to Las Vegas to battle the Raiders. The next four weeks will see the Eagles visit Detroit, host the Chargers, travel to the Mile High City to face Denver, then return home for a game against New Orleans.
Eagles fans will likely have their E-ZPass ready in weeks 12 and 13. The Birds have back-to-back games in North Jersey as they take on the Giants and Jets. Next comes a bye week, followed by four straight division contests to end the regular season.
It begins in Week 15 with a trip to Washington. The following week, the Eagles host the Giants on the day after Christmas before Washington comes to town the first Sunday in January. The regular season concludes with a home game against Dallas.
Week 10 will be the last week the Eagles will need to take a plane trip with the last seven games either home or in driving distance.
