Philadelphia Eagles star wide receiver A.J. Brown was ruled out for Monday night's NFC Wildcard game against the Tampa Bay Bucs, according to multiple sources including ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Brown, 26, sprained his knee in the regular season finale last week against the Giants. He is reportedly hopeful he will be able to return for the NFC Divisional round if the Eagles can beat the Bucs. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports Brown wants to "fully heal as much as he can" in hopes of playing in the next round.

Brown, who controversially went weeks without speaking publicly to the media last month amid the Eagles' 1-5 stretch, has apparently wiped all Eagles content from his Instagram account.

Brown caught 106 balls for 1,456 yards and seven touchdowns this season, peaking from Week 3 through Week 8 where he set an NFL record with 125-plus receiving yards in six straight games.

The Eagles' top three wide receivers vs the Bucs on Monday night will now be DeVonta Smith, Julio Jones and Quez Watkins, along with tight end Dallas Goedert in the passing game. Tampa Bay is 25th in the NFL in net yards per pass attempt.
