PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Eagles are hitting the road this week. Meanwhile, back at the Wells Fargo Center, fans can anticipate the Sixers’ home opener and watch the Flyers take on a very formidable opponent.
Here are three games to watch this week.

Philadelphia Eagles at the Las Vegas Raiders, Sunday at 4:05 p.m.
The Eagles have a rare road game at the Raiders, and this time, it’s at the franchise’s relatively new home in Las Vegas.
Many Birds fans will likely be in Allegiant Stadium, but will they witness an enjoyable game?
The Eagles are coming off of a mini bye week after losing to the Buccaneers. They will put their 2-4 record up against the 4-2 Raiders, who won in Denver after dealing with the Jon Gruden offensive email resignation.
Despite the public’s lack of confidence in Eagles rookie head coach Nick Sirianni, it doesn’t sound like he’s doubting himself.
“I understand the impatience,” Sirianni said. “We all want to win right now, and when you’re not winning, you’re gonna get impatient.
“If you continue to get better every single day, it will put you in a position to go 1-0 each week. And so I’m doubling down on things that I know will help us get better every single day.”
Philadelphia 76ers home opener vs. Brooklyn Nets, Friday at 7:30 p.m.
The Sixers showed great chemistry in their season opener Wednesday night, cruising by the New Orleans Pelicans 117-97 — notably, without Ben Simmons, who was suspended on Tuesday due to “conduct detrimental to the team.”
The Sixers say there is no practice Thursday, so that means Simmons will go from this suspension to Friday night’s home opener against the Brooklyn Nets without a practice.
Still, the Sixers have to play a very talented Nets team, which may be an elite contender this season.
Joel Embiid and his teammates, whether they have Simmons or not, are expected to beat the Nets, who are missing superstar Kyrie Irving because of his refusal to get vaccinated against COVID-19. It will still be a good early-season test for the 76ers.
Philadelphia Flyers vs. Florida Panthers, Saturday at 7 p.m.
The Flyers close their season-opening four-game homestand Saturday night against the Panthers, a team that is considered a real tough test.
So far so good for Philadelphia, who are coming off of 6-3 and 6-1 victories in front of their fans.
Next Wednesday, the Flyers begin a western Canadian road trip at the Edmonton Oilers. Get your coffee ready for some late-night hockey.
