PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Eagles' Jalen Reagor, entering his second season in the NFL, made another spectacular, jaw-dropping catch at training camp.

In one-on-one drills at Tuesday's joint practice with the New England Patriots, cornerback Michael Jackson Sr. was covering Reagor, when the wide receiver made a tremendous one-handed grab in the end zone.

The Eagles will host the Patriots in their second preseason game Thursday night.

Reagor made a catch like that in practice earlier this month when Eagles No. 1 corner Darius Slay covered him, as well.

Asked before Tuesday's practice how the 22-year-old Reagor has improved since his rookie season, when he was hampered by injury, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said he was particularly impressed with his one-on-ones.

"He was starting to use some techniques that we want him to see, because we all know that he has phenomenal athleticism, right. And so it was like, ... can you put that football ability and your athleticism, and then can you combine fundamentals and technique with it? And that's when you reach your ceiling," Sirianni said

"So what I saw Jalen do [Monday] in those one-on-ones, he was great off the line of scrimmage .... He was good at the top of the route. He finished with the catch. So, he just had a good feel of how to attack guys [Monday] and so I really see him growing."

Reagor had a slow start to camp because of lower body tightness and a failed conditioning test, which came after the death of a childhood friend, the Inquirer reported. It appears that Reagor is possibly picking things up as the team is roughly 3 1/2 weeks away from its opener in Atlanta on Sept. 12.

"That guy's for sure getting better every single day," wide receiver Greg Ward said. "His attention to detail, his aggression, his love for the game. That guy's come out here and worked every single day, and you can tell he wants to get better and he is. He's making plays. He had a crazy catch today in one-on-one's. That guy's making crazy plays, man, so for sure gonna have a big year."

Reagor had 31 catches for one touchdown in 11 games his rookie season. The Eagles took him with the 21st overall pick in 2020 — a move that was and still is questioned by many considering the phenomenal rookie year Justin Jefferson, the 22nd pick, had with the Minnesota Vikings.

But if Reagor is able to take those one-handed catches and showcase that talent in a game — that's a good sign for his 2021 season.
