PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — After losing the 2020 season to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Division II Lincoln University Lions are anxious to get the 2021 college football season underway.
“Camp’s been great,” Josh Dean, Lincoln's head coach since 2018, told KYW Newsradio.
“You have your ups and downs, obviously. The one thing is that you’ll have guys out there that are excited to be out there after a year and a half or two years of dealing with the pandemic, but also, it shows that you have some guys that have been off for two years."
Since Lincoln brought back the football program in 2008, wins have been hard to come by for the Lions. In 2019, Lincoln finished 0-10.
But Dean likes what he particularly sees in the trenches with the 2021 Lions.
