The MLB lockout is finally over, and Phillies fans can start making plans to go to the "Bank" again.

On Thursday afternoon, Major League Baseball and the MLB Players’ Association reached a deal on a new collective bargaining agreement, thus ending a 99-day lockout, per multiple reports.

The MLBPA voted to accept management's offer. Owners approved the five-year labor contract unanimously.

While the lockout began on Dec. 2, the two sides did not ramp up negotiations until February and things became contentious over the last few weeks, with talks extending late into the night and early hours of the morning.

After failing to reach deals last week and as recently as Wednesday, the league announced it would cancel games through the first two weeks until April 14.

However, that does not appear as if it will be a necessity.

While Opening Day was originally slated to start on March 31, it will now begin on April 7 and a 162-game season will indeed be played with other games being rescheduled.

Spring training games will begin on March 18 with free agency beginning as soon as Thursday night.

General managers will convene Thursday night to discuss logistics of the next steps. These were the dates reportedly in the proposal.

The regular season will also be extended three days with nine-inning doubleheaders to make up for the delay.

Phillies fans like Logan were thrilled to hear the news.

"I was on my phone, sitting on my bed. Scrolling through my Instagram, and I refreshed and it was the first thing that popped up. I literally jumped out of bed. I texted all of my friends. We have a baseball group chat in my friend group and it blew up. I was so happy," said Logan.

The new collective bargaining agreement that will bring a host of changes to the game including expanding the playoffs to 12 teams, the designated hitter coming to the National League, advertising on jerseys and helmets and the return of normal rules to doubleheaders and extra innings.

It will also set off a feeding frenzy in free agency with more than 300 players looking for new teams.

There was no initial word on when Phillies games originally scheduled between March 31-April 14 would be made up.
