PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Eagles appear to be making a starting quarterback change.
ESPN reports that Joe Milton will start under center in Sunday's game against the New York Giants, replacing Tanner McKee.
The Eagles signed Milton off the Dallas Cowboys practice squad on Oct. 16. He backed up Dak Prescott in Dallas last year, playing in four games. Milton was a 6th round draft pick of the Patriots in 2024 out of Tennessee.
"He works extremely hard," said Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni of Milton during his Wednesday press conference. "He's always in the building doing the extra things and I like his progression."
McKee struggled in three starts since taking over for Jalen Hurts, who is out for the season with blood clots. McKee completed 63% of his passes in those three starts with two touchdowns and two interceptions.
Eagles and Giants are a 1 p.m. kickoff Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field.
