PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) -- Less than 24 hours after his team lost to the Giants 27-17, Eagles head coach Doug Pederson sounded pretty unhappy when he called in to SportsRadio 94WIP Monday morning for his weekly radio appearance.

It coincided with the WIP morning crew reporting the results of a Twitter poll showing disapproval of Eagles coaching.

It's safe to say that didn’t help Pederson’s mood.

"I’m pissed off at myself," he told WIP's Angelo Cataldi. "I’m pissed off at the way we played, and it ... frustrates me to no end."

He added, "We have too much pride. And I have too much pride. These players have too much pride. We work our ass off during the week. And it’s frustrating."

It is the most frustrated he has ever been as Eagles coach. "Without a doubt," he said.

“I’m not gonna sit here and make excuses and say we’ve got young players. No. That’s over with. We’re 10 weeks into this thing. There’s no more. We all have to do our jobs, and we all have to do it better. I have to coach better. We have to play better. Bottom line.”

When Cataldi asked him what he said to the team after the game, Pederson said, "You don’t want to know."

"Oh, I probably do," Cataldi said with interest. "I like that kinda stuff."

Pederson responded: "Off the record, one day, I’ll tell ya."

But the coach tried to center the blame on himself, not the players.

"Blame it on me all you want. ... I’ll handle it with the players. You can blame it on me. I’m a big guy. I can handle it. That’s fine," he said.

He pointed to 11 penalties and 0 for 9 on third downs, which he explained comes down to execution and play calling.

"We are killing ourselves. We’re shooting ourselves in the foot," he said.

Pederson said the players are mad too.

"I believe they’re a little ticked off this morning -- last night, I know. And it’s prideful. It means a lot to them," he said.

Pederson concluded by saying the players will have a good week of practice to get ready for Cleveland.
