The Philadelphia Flyers have reportedly fired general manager and co-president Chuck Fletcher on Friday, first reported by Giana Han of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Former Flyer Danny Brière has been named interim general manager and the Flyers plan to permanently fill two separate roles of general and president of hockey operations, per Reiner.

Fletcher, 55, was named the ninth GM in Flyers' history in December of 2018. The Flyers have only made the playoffs once during Fletcher's tenure, which resulted in a round two elimination.

Anthony SanFilippo reports an even "bigger change" could be coming after the season.

The Flyers, while admittedly in a rebuild under new head coach John Tortorella, have been dreadful this season producing a record of 24-30-11, which is third worst in the Eastern Conference.

Of late, the Flyers are 2-7-1 over their last 10 games and fans are reportedly planning a "sell the team" protest at the Wells Fargo Center on Saturday morning.
