PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The reigning National League champion Philadelphia Phillies have signed free-agent All-Star shortstop Trea Turner, according to ESPN's Jeff Passan.

The deal is worth $300 million over 11 years with a full no-trade clause, according to Audacy Sports' Jon Heyman.

Turner, 29, will rejoin his former Washington Nationals teammate Bryce Harper in Philadelphia, bolstering an already potent lineup.

Turner, a two-time All-Star, won the 2021 National League batting title with a .328 batting average, producing a .911 OPS. He earned a Silver Slugger award in 2022, hitting .298 with an .809 OPS, 21 home runs and 100 RBI while stealing 27 bases.

Turner also led the National League in hits in 2020 and 2021, finishing second in that category in 2022.

According to FanGraphs, Turner's 15.9 WAR since the start of 2020 is tied with José Ramírez for the second-best mark among all position players, with only Aaron Judge topping him.

For his career, Turning is hitting .302 while averaging 24 homers and 83 RBI per season.

The Phillies declined the $17 million option of Jean Segura, meaning they will likely move Bryson Stott over to second base to make room for Turner at shortstop.
