PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Jim Iacavino is a 51-year-old lifelong Eagles fan and longtime Eagles Game Day employee at the Linc, whose energy is surely palpable.
“Every day there’s a different team [in Philadelphia sports] that’s trying to win, and I try to, in my mind, in watching them, try to push them along to do their best,” Iacavino told KYW Newsradio.
Iconic Phillies public address announcer Dan Baker, who has crossed paths with Iacavino through their work at Drexel, says he has incredible and infectious enthusiasm for life.
“His enthusiasm is infectious. He roots for everything Philadelphia,” Baker said.
And that attitude has made Iacavino, a fan since he was a kid, a season ticket holder — currently partial season tickets with the Phillies — as an adult, and an usher during Eagles games for the past two decades. Iacavino’s work has been so well-received that the team presented him with an autographed A.J. Brown football during the 2024 season.
